
The Health Services Area provides health and dental services for Head Start children and assures that all Head Start families have a "medical home" that they will feel comfortable going to long after the Head Start school year is over. All children receive speech, hearing, vision, and dental screenings. Follow up services are provided based on the screening results.

| Don't Push when you are waiting in line for lunch or to board the school bus, someone could fall and get hurt. | |
| If you see lightening or hear thunder, it's time to go inside until the storm goes away. | |
| If you are going to be out in the hot sun for a long time, use sun screen and drink lots of water. |

If you are in an accident or are hurt tell a
grownup or dial 911 on a telephone.

Always wear a helmet when riding your bicycle
and wear knee, elbow and wrist pads when rollerblading or skateboarding.

In case of a fire, leave the house or
building immediately. Tell a grownup or call 911. Let the firemen put it
out!
